Just 4 days before the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, our client Jet2 asked if we could rustle up a fun Easter-themed promotion to help boost site traffic and sales during a traditionally difficult sales period. We gleefully took the brand to never-before-seen levels of fun and pun.
"Crackin' Deals" was hatched - a new campaign that saw six hatching eggs streamed live via webcam to millions of viewers. It was the first campaign of its kind, designed to bring customers a special Easter treat each time one of our fluffy Jet2 chicks hatched. Our first intrepid chick to hatch rewarded viewers with a Buy One Get One Free offer on their flights. Henceforth he was named 'Bogof' and became our company mascot. The other five chicks followed, each delivering an exciting new offer of their own to keep viewers glued to their screens over the Easter Weekend.
The promotion was a runaway success with the public. 1,860 new social followers came directly from the campaign, and a huge 6,384 new email subscribers. We achieved over 1 million social impressions, over 1.5 million banner impressions, and saw the largest response ever to a Jet2 email. Most importantly, we increased site traffic by 29.8% YOY, and increased our conversion rate by 800% YOY. Revenue saw an enormous increase of 118% YOY, and sales soared to 128% YOY. A crackin' campaign indeed.
