1 competition. 4 Homies. The best 15 hours of their lives.
Andy Warhol famously said that ‘in the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes’. Well at Home we’re in the business of making our clients famous and we’ve been doing it for 15 years, never mind minutes!
That’s right, it’s our agency’s 15th birthday, and in true HOME style, we went all out to celebrate.
IT ALL STARTED WITH A COMPETITION
To get our Homies excited, we challenged them to create a 15 second video. It could be something they filmed or something they found. It could be live action, images, text, or even animation. Basically, anything they thought would make an entertaining tribute to our birthday. And to up the intrigue, we kept the prize top secret. All we told them, was that they’d be winning the best 15 hours of their life, starting the moment the winners were announced. Mysterious eh!
Over the next few weeks the entries flew in and we were blown away with the effort put in. Some videos were amazingly crafted, some played on humour, and some were just downright weird, but we loved them all!
THE BIG DAY
When our birthday came around, we finished work at 15:00 to celebrate our big day with a few bevvies and gather for a screening of our Homies’ videos. Drinks and pizza slices in hand, we laughed our way through the show reel until our guest judge, director Nate Camponi from Chief Productions, announced the four lucky winners.
First up there was Developer Danny, who’d given us all a chuckle with his simple script to camera. Next there was Marketing Exec Leah, whose amazing stop motion piece rewriting her own version of The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air soundtrack was a pure work of art. Third to be announced was Alice, our Copywriter, who had imagined what it would be like if HOME actually was just your regular 15-year-old teenager. And then there was Account Manager Rosie, whose cute video entry had focused on the new generation HOME has created.

THE 15 HOUR PRIZE
With absolutely no idea what they’d be getting up to, our four lucky winners headed out to the front lawn where we’d all gathered to wave them off. Little did they know that a helicopter was about to land at HOME HQ to whisk them away on a trip to remember.
Of course, we sent a cameraman to document their 15 hours. Without further ado, here’s what they got up to…
So, here’s to 15 years of HOME. It’s been a great ride so far and we can’t wait to see what the next 15 bring us.
